Nevis Air and Sea Ports Authority supports the preservation of Sea Turtles. You can help to protect them by following these simple guidelines.
Turtle Facts
- All species of sea turtle are endangered and need our protection.
- Turtles breathe air just like us, which means they can drown if they are prevented from reaching the surface of the sea.
- Litter is dangerous, especially plastic bags which can be mistaken for jellyfish – a favourite turtle food. ....More

Port Security and You
Since June 15, 2009 Nevis Air and Sea Ports Authority (NASPA) has been broadcasting a series of public service announcements entitled “Port Security and You”. These announcements are being aired via VON Radio www.vonradio.com (7:30-8:00 am); Choice Radio www.choicefm1053.com (12:00 – 1:00 pm); on NNC TV; and from time to time they will be chronicled in the print media. Our primary objective is to bring awareness to the public, of the International Ship and Port-Facility Security Code (ISPS). We also wish to apprise the public of the important role they are expected to play in making sure adherence is maintained according to the provisions set out in the Code as it relates to the public’s use of our port facilities at Long Point and Charlestown. ....More
